Fire at power plant in Tonk
Jaipur, Apr 26 (UNI) A captive power plant, producing electricity from mustard residue, caught fire in Rajasthan's Tonk district today.
District collector Hemant Gora said fire broke out at the 8 MW captive power plant 'Kalpatru' at about 1100 hrs.
The power plant is located at Katholi village about 42 Km from the district headquaters. Fire tenders called from Jaipur and Sawai Madhopur are still engaged in the fire fighting operation.
He said the reason for the fire is not yet known and loss is also unknown.
Sources said the fire broke out at the store house of the mustard residue which is the major input of power generation.
