AP: CPI seeks a political decision on Telangana
Vijayawada, Apr 26: The Communist Party of India (CPI) today demanded the Centre to take a 'political decision' on carving out a separate Telangana state.
Addressing a news conference here, CPI state secretary K Narayana said the Centre should constitute an expert committee on the issue to take a politically-correct decision.
Mr Narayana said statehood for Telangana was included in the Common Minimum Programme (CMP) and even President A P J Abdul Kalam had referred to it during his first address to the joint session of Parliament.
