CCP reviews procurement
New Delhi, Apr 26 (UNI) The Cabinet Committees on Prices (CCP) met here this evening and the Ministers concerned exchanged notes on price details pertaining to various commodities.
Briefing newspersons on the outcome of the CCP meeting, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi described the meeting as routine.
He said nothing specific was decided by the committee.
He said the Committee took stock of the procurement process underway with regard to wheat and the quantum of procurement at the MSP of the agricultural commodity at Rs 850 per quintal.
It also went into the availability of stocks of various commodities.
When asked whether the government was satisfied with the level of procurement of wheat, Mr Dasmunsi quipped '' there are still two weeks to go. We will see.'' UNI
