Asom: Bomb hoax creates panic

Guwahati, Apr 26: Panic gripped the Kalipur area of Bharalumukh here today after an unidentified person said that a bomb had been planted inside a school.

Police said an unidentified caller rang up Jalukbari police station and said that a bomb has been planted at the Kalipur School near Bharalumukh police station at around 0830 hours.

Police rushed to the spot and evacuated the school and the employees of a bank located on the first floor of the two-storey building.

However, nothing was found, police said.

The panic-stricken schools authorities later announced a holiday in the school.
