BJP lacks agenda: Mulayam

Fatehpur/Banda/Chitrakoot, Apr 26 (UNI) Castigating BJP as power hungry, Samajwadi Party supremo and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav today said the saffcon party is fighting the ongoing Assembly polls without any agenda.

''BJP has gone astray. It neither has principles nor policies.

For capturing power, it is trying to spread the poison of communalism in society,'' Mr Yadav said addressing poll meetings here.

Flaying BSP Chief Mayawati, the CM alleged, ''she is true to no one; Earlier, she insulted Brahmins, Vaishyas and Kshatriyas by raising slogans like 'tilak taraju and talwar...' and now, is hurting Muslims by calling them extremists.'' Denouncing the Congress-led UPA at the centre, the former defence minister charged, ''it is only concerned about big industrialists and befooling the masses by shedding crocodile tears. Now, people have realised its true face and the same would reflect in the state poll results.'' The SP leader held the centre responsible for the current inflation in the country, which had made the life tough for people.

He further claimed the ongoing UP polls would give new shape to the country's destiny.

''The opposition parties are envious of the development works done by my government and have mounted an all-out attack on the SP.

But, people know the reality of the BJP, BSP and Congress.'' The CM promised if voted to power, UP would become the top producer of electricity in India, providing 24 hour power to its citizens, besides selling power to other states.
