Bihar govt to inaugurate sugar mill on Apr 28
Patna, Apr 26 (UNI) Under the Sugarcane Protection Policy, the state has decided to set up the first sugar mill in Bihar at the cost of approximately Rs 150 crore.
According to official sources, the chief minister would inaugrate 'P and M Infrastructures Pvt Ltd-Maurya' sugar mill in Gurwalia village in West Champaran district on April 28.
Apart from producing sugar, the mill would also produce ethanol, sources said.
It will also help in generating 28 MW electricity, out of which about 15 MW would be used by the Bihar State Electricity Board to fulfil the local requirements.
The sugar mill would directly benefit the farmers and workers from the area in earning their livelihood.
