Chandigarh, Apr 26 (UNI) In a major relief to as many as 128 dismissed class III and IV employees recruited under the special drive of physically handicapped in the Rural Development and Panchayats Department, Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal asked for a self-contained proposal to reinstate those dismissed during the previous government despite the orders of Punjab and Haryana High Court in their favour.

The decision of Chief Minister comes in wake of the representation submitted to him by a delegation of dismissed employees during Sangat Darshan programme held here at the Chief Minister's residence late last evening.

He also directed the state Revenue Department to formulate a policy for the rehabilitation of the victims of anti-Sikh riots of 1984 who could not registered themselves earlier for seeking financial grant and other relief measures.

The Chief Minister also asked the Secretary Higher Education to look into the cases of college lecturers, selected by the PPSC under Ravi Sidhu's chairmanship, who had sought the CM's intervention to get appointment letters without any further delay.

The Chief Minister also sanctioned financial grant ranging from Rs 5000 to Rs 10000 to the patients suffering from various serious ailments.
