Attempt to affect blasts in Delhi foiled, LeT ultras nabbed
New Delhi, Apr 26 (UNI) The Delhi police today foiled a major attempt by the Lashkar-e-Toiba to carry out blasts in Delhi with the arrest of three terrorists of the outfit from South Delhi this evening.
A huge quantity of ammunition, including 2 Kg RDX, three detonators, one timer and two hand grenades were recovered from Abdul Kasim, Shafaqat and Shabbir who were arrested by a team of the Delhi police Special cell from near Dilli Haat at 1900 hours, police said.
While Abdul Kasim is a Pakistani national, Shafaqat and Shabbir are from Kashmir, police said.
Police said the trio was planning to attack several market places in Delhi.
