Anarchy prevailing in UP: Kalyan Singh
Lucknow, Apr 26 (UNI) BJP vice president and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kalyan Singh today asserted that anarchy was prevalent in the state.
''Fear and terror are writ large in UP...this is the time to uproot the present regime,'' Mr Singh said addressing election meetings in Pratapgarh and Sultanpur districts.
''The ruling Samajwadi Party has been promoting anti-social elements under a well-laid out conspiracy, which has resulted in spurt in heinous crimes, including loot, murder, kidnapping and rape,'' he warned.
Mr Singh promised that mafia and criminals would be taken to task, if the BJP formed the next state government.
''SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and BSP chief Mayawati both have corruption cases against them and they could be sent to jail any time...I am unblemished,'' he noted.
The BJP leader assured that welfare schemes targetted at society at large would be formulated and implemented in the party rule, with special emphasis on farmers, traders and agriculture.
