Air Marshal Apte visits city base

Chandigarh, Apr 26 (UNI) Air Marshal Jayant Satchidanand Apte, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C), Maintenance Command, IAF arrived on an inspection visit at 3 Base Repair Depot (BRD) Air Force here today.

On his arrival Air Cmde R.K. Srivastava, Air Officer Commanding (AOC) and senior officers of the 3 BRD, received Air Marshal Apte.

He is accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Uma Apte, President, Air Force Wives Welfare Association (AFWWA)-Regional.

Air Cmde Srivastava gave a detailed presentation on various activities and projects under progress at the Depot. Air Marshal Apte addressed air warriors and civilian employees of the Depot and advised them to work with spirit-de-corps, make optimum utilisation of the available resources to enhance the production and ensure quality standard.

The AOC-in-C later inspected various sections and projects in the Depot. A Barakhana in Airmen Mess was also arranged.

Air Marshal Apte will be laying the foundation stone of the Phase I Group II of Rs 43 Crore Married Accommodation Project (MAP) at Sector 31 tomorrow which will provide accommodation to 707 air warriors.
