AI CMD may head merged airline
New Delhi, Apr 26 (UNI) Air India's chairman and managing director Vasudevan Thulasidas is likely to head the new entity created out of the merger with Indian (Airlines).
The civil aviation ministry is understood to have cleared his name for being appointed to the top post.
Official sources said today the ministry's proposal will now go to Appointments Committee of the Cabinet for final approval.
Mr Thulasidas will hold the post for one year till his superannuation, following which his successor will be chosen by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PSEB), the sources said.
