UPA, Left to discuss OBC quota issue tomorrow
New Delhi, Apr 25 (UNI) The UPA allies and the Left parties will meet tomorrow to resolve the issue of OBC quota and admissions to the higher educational institutions.
This was decided at the meeting of Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs (CCPA) held at the residence of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh here tonight.
The meeting was, however, inconclusive.
According to sources, earlier, Union HRD Minister Arjun Singh met the Prime Minister separately. He is believed to have told Dr Singh that it was possible to go ahead with the admissions in the general category this year and to put on hold admissions on OBC quota till the hearing in the Supreme Court.
