Undertrial commits suicide in Silvassa subjail

Silvassa, Apr 25 (UNI) An undertrial prisoner in magistrate custody committed suicide in a subjail here today.

Govind Janu Wagh was in judicial custody for killing his wife Seema last month, police said.

Wagh, who was remanded to judicial custoday 15 days ago, had also killed his son Sagar on January 22 this year by drowning him in the Madhuwan dam. He later took the boy's body to his village in Jawahar district in Maharashtra and buried it there.

Silvassa police had brought the body with the help of the Maharashtra police and was formalising his arrest when he committed suicide, police added.
