Three-point proposal placed in tripartite meeting on HM
Kolkata, Apr 23 (UNI) West Bengal Labour Minister Mrinal Banerjee today placed three-point solution to end the six-week-long Hindustan Motors (HM) imbroglio, even as the Sangrami Shramik Karmachari Union (SSKU) turned down the offer.
The tripartite meeting to end the deadlock was attended by the HM management, representatives of the SSKU, AITUC and INTUC-affiliated unions, besides Mr Banerjee on behalf of the state government.
Mr Banerjee said issues like DA and transfer would figure in the discussion within 15 days, adding salary pending for the past 44 days would be cleared.
Mr Banerjee also said suspended employees would not be sacked, but disciplinary action would continue.
Secretary of the SSKU, a platform of seven trade union bodies, Amitabha Bhattacharyya, however, told UNI that they were not going to accept the three-point proposals.
Details were awaited.
