Stolen laptops recovered, one held

Chennai, Apr 25 (UNI) City police today arrested a notorious thief and recovered five stolen laptops from his possession.

Police said R Anand Kumar alias Senthil Kumar of Coimbatore camer to this city a few years back with the hope of entering the Tamil film world. When his efforts failed, he started doing odd jobs in film studios and other places.

Since the income was not sufficient, he started stealing laptops from locked houses and offices and made huge money out it leading a luxurious life.

On suspicion, police intercepted him near Chennai Mofussil Bus Terminal and found a laptop in his bag. He confessed to his crime and said he was on his way to Puducherry to sell the computer.

Later, he was remanded to judicial custody.
