Sensex opens positively, gain of 5 points

Mumbai, Apr 25: The Sensex today opened steady, with a marginalgain of nearly 5 points, at 14,141.70 points on the Bombay StockExchange (BSE) from its previous close of 14,136.72 points as positivesentiment prevailed in the market following a decision by the ReserveBank of India (RBI) to keep the key rates unchanged in its monetarypolicy, which was announced yesterday.

On the other hand, the Nifty Index shed nearly 7 points on theNational Stock Exchange (NSE) to open at 4,134.25 from its previousclose of 4,141.80 points.
