Sensex opens positively

Mumbai, Apr 25 (UNI) The Sensex today opened steady, with a marginal gain of nearly 5 points, at 14,141.70 points on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) from its previous close of 14,136.72 points as positive sentiment prevailed in the market following a decision by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to keep the key rates unchanged in its monetary policy, which was announced yesterday.

On the other hand, the Nifty Index shed nearly 7 points on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) to open at 4,134.25 from its previous close of 4,141.80 points.
