Rope way service project at Ambaji to begin on May 1

Junagadh, Apr 25 (UNI) Marking the foundation day of Gujarat on May one, Chief Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of rope way service project.

''This will start off the rope way service between Giri Taleti and Ambaji, about 3300 foot above the sea level,'' District Collector of Junagadh Ashwini Kumar said.

The foundation stone ceremony will be conducted at Giri Taleti behind the pond of Bhavnath, where the lower station of this project is based, Mr Kumar said.

''This will be the biggest rope way project in Asia at Rs 70 crore. The rope way trolly will have the capacity of carrying eight people. It will take five minutes from Lower station to the upper station of Ambaji temple,'' Mr Kumar added.
