Chennai, Apr 25 (UNI) Puthiya Thamizhagam (PT) Founder-President K Krishnaswamy will undertake a day's election campaign in support of Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP)National President Mayawati and her party candidates who were in the fray in the ongoing election to the Uttar Pradesh Assembly.

Announcing this at a news conference here today, Dr Krishnaswamy said would be undertaking campaign tour of Allahabad, Varanasi and Lucknow where there was a sizeable Tamil population.

Asked to comment on AIADMK Supremo J Jayalalithaa's campaign for UP Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party President Mulayam Singh Yadav, he said the Chief Minister was seeking election with the alliance of BJP, that too, against the Dalits.

Ms Jayalaithaa's campaign was totally against the interest of Dalits, he alleged.

He expressed concern over non-provision of representation for the party in the recently constituted Tea Plantation Workers Welfare Board by the Tamil Nadu Government.

He had written a letter to Chief Minister M Karunanidhi seeking representation for the party in the board.

The PT chief also expressed concern over the fact not even a single reserve Lok Sabha Constituency was earmarked in Southern district as part of the recent delimitation drill which was highly condemnable.

The party would come out with a struggle on this issue shortly.
