Plastics expo begins Apr 27

Hyderabad, Apr 25 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy will inaugurate the second series of Indian Plastics Exposition (IPLEX) 2007 for the promotion of plastic process industry,especially for South Indian states, on April 27.

In all, 270 exhibitors would showcase the latest technological developments, modern processes, newer raw materials besides a host of intermediate products for the industry during the four-day exposition being organised by the Governing Council of IPLEX 07 and the Andhra Pradesh Plastics Manufacturers Association.

The exposition would focus on the potential of South India in general and Andhra Pradesh in particular, offering a good opportunity for the industry in the state to show its capacity.

Simultaneously, a two-day seminar on 'India Towards Globalisation-Role of Plastics' would deliberate on several topics related to plastics in which several prominent scientists from India and abroad would participate.

The seminar would be inaugurated by Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals Secretary Satwant Reddy on April 28.
