Paprikaas to double its studio capacity

Bangalore, Apr 25 (UNI) Paprikaas Interactive Services (P) Ltd, 3D animation and video games services company, has announced doubling of its studio capacity from the present 170 to 340 in the next six months to cater to the growing demand.

The company was building a 100,000 sft sophisticated, state of the art studio at ITPL, Whitefield, Bangalore. In February 2007, Technicolor, a Thomson group company made a strategic investment in Paprikaas to propel its creative, technical and computer animation capabilities to the global stage in the rapidly expanding Indian digital animation and content services industry, the Company said in a release here today.

Thomson's Technicolor Content Services was a leading provider of content preproduction, production, postproduction, and distribution capabilities to the broadcast, cable, feature film, advertising, and ancillary home video and DVD markets. The division provided visual effects, animation, and video game content creation and development services for leading studios and video game publishers. Technicolor Content Services' rapidly expanding animation and interactive services activities would allow Paprikaas to add up to 150 new positions at its primary animation studio in India .
