Officials released by militants in Manipur

Imphal, Apr 25 (UNI) Four Manipur Electronics Development Corporation-- MANITRON officials, who had been kidnapped by the UNLF on March 31, were relased yesterday, official sources said today.

Police said the United National Liberation Front (UNLF) had kidnapped the officials for allegedly supplying sub-standard computer, TV, projectors to schools at an escalated price.

They further alleged that some MLAs were involved in the ''Rs one crore scam''.
