Nominations invited for chairman Stg Comm, first meeting on May 3

New Delhi, Apr 25 (UNI) Nominations have been invited for post of Chairman and Deputy chairman of the Standing committee of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi.

The election for the posts will be held at the first meeting of the committee scheduled for May 3.

A notice to this effect was issued today by the Municipal Secretary's Office.

Candidates can file their nomination by April 30 by 1700 Hours.

The inviting of nominations for the posts comes afetr completion of election for 18 members of the committee (six from the House and 12 from the 12 Ward Committees).

The 18-member Standing committee comprises 15 members from the BJP and three members from the Congress.

Earlier today, process was completed for election of Chairmen and Deputy chairman of ward committees in West, Rohini, Shahdara(N), Shahdara(S), Rural Narela and Rural Nazafgarh. Process was also completed for election for members of the Standing Committee from these wards.
