Munda slams UPA govt for price hike
Ranchi, Apr 25 (UNI) Opposition leader Arjun Munda today expressing concern over price rise of essential commodities said the Jharkhand government's initiatives to control the price hike went futile.
Mr Munda said the rate of inflation was above seven per cent, which was alarming for a state that produces a meagre amount of consumer products.
The former chief minister further said the rise in the prices of wholesale products was about seven per cent which would raise to nine per cent for retail products.
Terming all the previous announcements regarding price hike control by the UPA backed government as a 'political stunt', Mr Munda warned that the situation would become 'miserable' if government fails to ensure availability of essential commodities according to market's demand.
