Maharsthra minister visits NE

Aizawl, Apr 25: Maharasthra Tribal Development Minister Dr Vijaykumar Gavit has visited the NE states to overview tribal development in the region.

Dr Gavit, along with state Social Welfare Minister Mr R Tlanghmingthanga, visited a tribal art centre here yesterday.

The art centre was constructed at a cost of Rs six crore. The fund was provided by the Centre through the Social Welfare department.

The centre will house a large playground, four gallery blocks, VIP gallery, multipurpose indoor stadium and coaching centre.

Dr Gavit, who previously visited Asom and Meghalaya, will leave for Tripura today.
