Kalyan Singh best CM candidate: Joshi
Allahabad, Apr 25 (UNI) Former union HRD minister and senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi today said his party was regaining lost ground and the outfit's projected chief minister, Kalyan Singh, has a crystal clear image in public.
Addressing a news conference here, Dr Joshi said the CM candidates of the ruling Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) -- Mulayam Singh Yadav and Mayawati respectively are not ''unimpeachable ''and both have cases pending against them.
''People need a CM with crystal clear image and that is only Kalyan Singh.'' Attacking BSP, he said the party was selling tickets.
''If BSP comes to power, all its candidates would try to get their money back from public and thus increase corruption.'' Dr Joshi said, ''today BSP was selling tickets, tomorrow if it comes to power in centre, it would definitely sell the country.'' He further added his party is not in the favour of reservation on the basis of religion, but on economic condition.
He also criticised Prime Minister's Manmohan Singh statement, in which he observed that the minorities have the first right on resources.
On Janata Dal(United) and Apna Dal collaboration with BJP, Dr Joshi termed it 'new experiment' and said such experiments are obvious in politics.
