Jammu: 15 killed as mini bus falls in river

Jammu, Apr 25: At least 15 passengers were killed and 14 othersinjured, including six critically, when a minibus skidded off the roadand plunged into a riverlet in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Official sources said the minibus was on its way from Surankote toPoonch and fell into river at arround 1145 hrs. Army and local policewere engaged in rescue operations. Four bodies have already beenrecovered from the river.

''We don't know how many passengere were travelling in theminibus. We are also facing difficulties in searching the bodies in theriver,'' an official in Poonch control room said.
