Infosys Tech sets up new centre in Brno

Bangalore, Apr 25 (UNI) IT giant Infosys Technologies today announced expansion of its near shore operation by setting up a 400 seat facility in Brno, Czech Republic to provide BPO as well as IT services to its clients in Europe facility.

Infosys BPO Chairman and Infosys Technologies Member of the Board Mohandas Pai in a press release here said, "the Brno centre was part of our strategy to build near shore centres in various parts of the globe. This, along with our large offshore centres in India and China gives an expanded global network, allowing proximity to our clients and seamless flow of work on a 24X7 basis".

"Brno also offers access to a highly skilled, multilingual talent pool. We are excited to be here and look forward to building on these capabilities and providing greater value to our clients", he added.

With existing near shore development centers in London, Germany and Mauritius, the new centre would widen service capabilities.

Czech Republic President Vaclav Klaus inaugurated the new centre and addressed clients and employees.
