Infosys expands operations in Central Europe
Bangalore, Apr 25: IT giant Infosys Technologies today announced expansion of its near shore operation by setting up a 400-seat facility in Brno, Czech Republic to provide BPO as well as IT services to its clients in Europe facility.
Mr Mohandas Pai, Chairman, Infosys BPO and Member of the Board, Infosys Technologies said in a press release here that "the Brno Centre was part of our strategy to build near shore Centers in various parts of the globe. This, along with our large offshore centers in India and the centre in China, gives a expanded global network, allowing proximity to our clients and seamless flow of work on a 24X7 basis".
"Brno also offers access to a highly skilled, multilingual talent pool. We are excited to be here and look forward to building on these capabilities and providing greater value to our clients", he added.
With existing near shore development Centres in London, Germany and Mauritius, the new centre would widen service capabilities.
Czech Republic President Vaclav Klaus inaugurated the new Centre and addressed clients and employees.
