Nagaland: Gov expresses shock over Dimapur violence

Kohima, Apr 25: Nagaland Governor K Sankaranarayanan has expressed dismay over the violence in Wungram Colony at Dimapur on April 22, an official release here today stated.

The release said, '' Violence, anyway and from any quarter, must be condemned, if we want to be free from this scourge.'' He urged the people to resolve all disputes and differences through negotiations in a democratic way and asked them to come forward and help the government in the process of normalisation.

He further appealed all the sections of society, organisations and NGOs, including the Church, to help restore peace in the state, the release added.
