Expert Committee to study the problems of Weavers in the State

Bangalore, Apr 25 (UNI) A 32-member Expert Committee, headed by Karnataka Minister for Textile Appasaheb Pattanashetty will tour the State to study the problems faced by the Weavers.

Talking to newsmen here today, the Minister said that the members would meet here on May Seven to chalk out the tour programe.

He said that a report would be submitted to the Government after the tour.

He said that nine new Textile Parks coming up in different districts over the next year would generate more than 1.5 lakh jobs.

Mr Pattanashetty said that the first phase of the Apparel Park at Doddaballapur on the outskirts of the city had been completed and the second phase would come up in 282 acres of land covering Guddadahalli and Bashettihalli villages at a cost of Rs 82.07 crore.
