Congress alleges irregularities in Anganwari recruitment

Patna, Apr 25 (UNI) The Congress today alleged that largescale irregularities were committed in recruitemet of assistants and angawari sevikas under the Child Development Project in Bihar.

General secretary of the scheduled caste cell of the state Congress Yashlok Kumar Vidyarthi said here that reservation rules were being flouted in recruitment as several undeserving candidates managed to get appointment on extraneous grounds.

He said remedial steps had not been taken despite complaints were lodged before the concerned authorities in this regard.

'' The Congress would launch agitation to protest the irregularities if steps are not taken to check it soon, '' he added.

'' How reservation rules could be ignored in recruitment under the Child Development project when the rules are strictly being adhered to in other departments of the state government, '' he stated.
