Central scheme relaunched in MP
Bhopal, Apr 25 (UNI) The Centre will provide financial assistance to entrepreneurs interested in setting up of food-processing units, their modernisation and technical upgradation.
The scheme, discontinued in 2004, was relaunched on April 1 to encourage grain-milling on the demand of the state government and grain-producing regions.
A provision of 25 per cent grant has been made. Under the scheme, rice mills, pulses and flour mills could be set up.
Entreprenuers are required to submit proposals directly to banks that would in turn sanction the proposals and forward them to the Centre.
Grants would be extended to units that use dryers, separators, polishing machines, colour-sorting machines, graders and boiling units, a statement said.
