AP Governor prorogues both Houses of MLA, MLCs

Hyderabad, Apr 25 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Governor Rameshwar Thakur prorogued both the Houses of State Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council from today.

In a notification here, he said, ''in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 174 of the Constitution of India, I prorogue with effect from April 24, 2007 the tenth session of the 12th State Legislative Assembly''.

In another notification, he said, ''In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 174 of the Constitution of India, I prorogue with effect from April 24, 2007 the first session of the State Legislative Council''.
