AP Cong MLA resigns
Hyderabad, Apr 25 (UNI) Upset with the Congress Government for not inducting his name in the Andhra Pradesh cabinet expansion, scheduled to be held tomorrow, Shad Nagar MLA Shankar Rao today resigned from his post.
According to party sources here today, Mr Rao, who was also a senior Congress leader in Mahabob Nagar District, had resigned from the MLA's post.
The Congress leader had sent the resignation letters to UPA Chairperson and AICC President Sonia Gandhi and state Congress party in-charge Digvijay Singh.
Mr Rao's name was not in the list of cabinet expansion as announced by Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today.
