2-day AR Commander's conference from tomorrow

Shillong, Apr 25 (UNI) A two-day high level Assam Rifles(AR) Commander's Conference under the chairmanship of Lt Gen Paramjit Singh, Director General Assam Rifles will be held at DGAR headquarters here tomorrow.

During the conference there will be deliberations on training, administration, equipment management and man management aspects of of the Force. Major policy decision will be taken with regard to these issues, a defence release said today.

Modernization of the Force to meet future challenges will include adequate training facilities, modern equipment, adequate accommodation for troops and families, improvement of amenities such as education, medical and health care. It has also taken a number of initiatives to improve the service conditions of the troops and ex-servicemen, it added.
