15 killed as mini bus falls in river

Jammu, Apr 25 (UNI) At least 15 passengers were killed and 14 others injured, including six critically, when a minibus skidded off the road and plunged into a riverlet in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Official sources said the minibus was on its way from Surankote to Poonch and fell into river at arround 1145 hrs. Army and local police were engaged in rescue operations. Four bodies have already been recovered from the river.

''We don't know how many passengere were travelling in the minibus. We are also facing difficulties in searching the bodies in the river,'' an official in Poonch control room said.
