Vice-Prez takes part in Rudratirudra Mahayagya in MP
Shahdol (MP), Apr 24: Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat gave 'ahuti (offering)' in the 'Rudratirudra Mahayagya' organised with objective of bringing welfare of the world at pilgrim spot Amarkantak in Annupur district.
Mr Shekhawat reached Amarkantak from Jabalpur by helicopter.
He took part in the 'yagya' and explained about its significance.
Madhya Pradesh Health Minister Ajay Vishnoi accompanied him.
Elaborate security arrangements had been made in view of the Vice-President's visit. An Army helicopter was maintaining a tight vigil.
It was the third day of the nine-day-long 'yagya' yesterday.
Almost 50,000 'ahuti' are given in the 'yagya' everyday.
