Sri Lanka: 4 killed, over 30 wounded bus blast
Colombo, Apr 24: At least four civilian passengers were killed and over 30 wounded when a powerful claymore mine exploded targeting a Colombo bound passenger bus at Cheddikulam in Vavuniya late last night.
Military sources quoting the area Police officials blamed the LTTE for the attack and claimed that the bus carrying civilian passengers was travelling along the Mannar - Medawachchiya (A-14) main route when the explosion took place at the Manik Farm junction.
The wounded civilians, including three children and eight women, have been rushed to the nearby Cheddikulam general hospital.
There was no immediate reaction from the LTTE in this regard.
