Parsvnath, DMRC sign deal worth 160 cr

New Delhi, Apr 24: Parsvnath Developers Ltd today bagged a dealworth Rs 160 crore from Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to developan integrated shopping mall and metro station at the Games Villagecomplex.

''The shopping mall and station will be developed in an area of3,65,000 sq ft,'' said Parsvnath Developers Ltd Chairman Pradeep Jain,adding, ''Association with DMRC for infrastructural development ofCommon Wealth games is a matter of pride for us.'' ''The project wouldbe beneficial for commuters who will travel during the Common Wealthgames from all corners of the city.

Shopping mall in the complex would ensure a smooth shopping experience for its customers,'' he opined.

The common wealth games, 2010 are scheduled to be held in theGames Village complex situated opposite Akshardham temple. The villagecomplex will be developed by the government and sprawls over an area of7.30 acres.

Mr Jain added that the project will be completed by mid-2010 before the commencement of Common Wealth Games.

This is the second DMRC project awarded to Parsvnath Developersafter Azadpur Metro Station. Parsvnath has already entered intoconcession agreements to develop shopping malls on 11 stations owned bythe DMRC on a Build-Operate-Transfer basis. Of these, 5 have alreadybeen executed. These include Parsvnath Metro Mall at Metro Stations atShahdara, Pratap Nagar, Inderlok, Seelampur and Tis Hazari.
