JK: Hizb denies clashes with Lashkar

Srinagar, Apr 24: The Hizbul Mujahideen, the single largest indigenous militant outfit active in Jammu and Kashmir, has denied media reports suggesting clashes between its cadres and the ultras of the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT).

In a statement here, Hizb spokesman Junaid-ul-Islam denounced the news reports about three militants of his outfit being killed in a group clash with Lashkar ultras in Jammu's Doda district.

The three Hizb militants died after they came under a snow avalanche, he said.

''There was no group clash and the media report about the same is baseless. Militants share a cordial relationship and attempt to create a rift among us will never succeed,'' Islam said.
