Jazeera Airways kicks-off Kochi-Dubai route

New Delhi, Apr 24: West Asia carrier Jazeera Airways kicked offits new network tour today with the official launch of its Kochi-Dubairoute, the airline's latest non-stop route from its new second hub inDubai operating brand new Airbus A320s.

Jazeera began flights from Kuwait to Indian cities last summer andhas stimulated traffic between Kuwait and Kochi by 38 per cent, Kuwaitand Mumbai by 29 per cent and Kuwait and Delhi by 19 per cent.

''Our increasing investment in India comes from our commitment toconnect the Gulf to India and to work with authorities to bring moretraffic into Kochi, especially tourist traffic,'' said airline'schairman and CEO Marwan Boodai.

Jazeera serves destinations for both business and leisure in theWest Asia, North Africa, and the Indian subcontinent including Dubai,Beirut, Bahrain, Damascus, Aleppo, Amman, Alexandria, Luxor, Mumbai,New Delhi, Mashhad, Assiut, Cochin, Sharm El Sheikh, Salalah, Muscat,Tehran, Larnaca and Shiraz.
