ICICI Prudential launches Hospital Care

New Delhi, Apr 24: ICICI Prudential Life Insurance today expandedits health insurance portfolio further by launching hospital care tocover 1,000 surgical procedures and hospitalisation.

The insurance is the first of its kind which covers individualsupto the age of 80 years and ensure customers recieve a pre-determinedinsurance amount for each procedure or hospitalisation, even if hespends less.

ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Executive Director, BhargavDasgupta said, ''We launched hospital care to fill the gap in healthinsurance and offer customers control over their health expenses.'' MrDasgupta explained the customers believe that existing health insurancepolicies will not cover all the expenses related to hospitalisation orsurgical procedure. However, Hospital Care is designed for a long-termbetween 10-20 years which assures policy holders the guaranteed cushionof insurance cover even if they make a claim during the term.

Hospital Care offers products which will cover not only criticalillnesses but will also provide for expenses related to hospitalisationranging from room charges, doctor and surgery fees.
