TN: DPK to launch campaign for welfare measures
Chennai, Apr 24: The newly-formed Dravida Puratchi Kazhagam (DPK) will launch a state-wide campaign soon to urge the Central and the State Governments to initiate steps to ensure that welfare measures fully reached the needy.
Party state president B Rajappa and Patron M Nagappan, in a press release here today, said the primary aim of the party was to work for the creation of a casteless society and eradicate poverty with the support of the Central and State Governments.
They urged the Central and State Governments to bring an end to the commercialisation of education and introduce examination-free education upto Tenth standard.
The leaders said efforts would be made to strengthen the party base all over Tamil Nadu, by appointing new office-bearers at all the District and Taluk levels and take steps to register DPK with the Election Commission shortly.
