Asom: 3 ULFA militants killed in gun battle

Guwahati, Apr 24: Assam Police today gunned down three unidentified ULFA militants, following a gun battle at Goshala hillock under Jalukbari police station here.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of policemen, went on a raid to a makeshift hideout of the ultras on the hillock, late last night.

When the police intercepted them the militants opened fire.

In retaliation, the police shot at them and killed three of them and recovered one M-20 pistols, a few grenades, live ammunition and incriminating documents.
