Asom: 2 killed, 29 injured in bus accident

Guwahati, Apr 24: At least two persons were killed and 29 others injured, when two buses collided head-on at Bokakhat in upper Asom today.

Police sources said a Sivasagar-Guwahati 'night' bus collided head-on with another bus plying from Moirabari to Dimapur in the heart of Bokakhat town of Golaghat district at around 0100 hrs today.

Two persons, identified as Udupani Bora and driver of one of the buses Suresh Gaupe, died on the spot, while 29 other passengers who sustained injuries were rushed to the hospital.

The injured were stated to be out of danger.
