10 village panchayats to be honoured by Kalam

Etawah, Apr 24: Ten Gram Panchayats of the district, includingSafai, the home village of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam SinghYadav have been selected for 'Nirmal Gram Puraskaar' to be receivedfrom President A P J Abdul Kalam.

According to sources, the 'Gram Pradhans' of the selectedpanchayats would be conferred upon the award on May 4 for theirremarkable contributions to the 'complete cleanliness programme'.

The gram pradhans of Safai, Jugramau, Badriputh, Gopiyaganj,Badpura, Shekhupur, Bhoya, Jugaura, Baheda and Chakpur would be awardeda cash prize along with a citation and a memento.
