MP: Senior IAS officer dies in US

Bhopal, Apr 23: Madhya Pradesh's former Chief Election Officer Vijay S Patidar, a 1983 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, has died in the United States after prolonged illness.

He was 51.

The end came yesterday. Mr Patidar, who belonged to Khargone district's Kasrawad, was an alumnus of Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi. He served as senior executive at the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance in Sweden. The body would be flown to India for last rites. The Madhya Pradesh IAS Association expressed grief, a release said here.
