BoI Q4 net up 76 pc, final dividend at 15 pc

New Delhi, Apr 23: Bank of India (BoI) today reported a jump of 75.85 per cent in net profit at Rs 447.40 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 254.42 crore for the corresponding quarter last year.

Total income increased 37.2 per cent at Rs 3192.13 crore during Q4FY07 from Rs 2326.58 crore during Q4FY06.

The bank's Board of Directors also recommended a final dividend of 15 per cent for the financial year 2006-2007 on the equity share capital.

The total dividend at the year end of the fiscal stands at 35 per cent, including an interim dividend of 20 per cent declared and paid in December 2006.

During 2006-07, the bank has posted a net profit of Rs 1123.17 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 701.44 crore in the last fiscal.

Total income increased to Rs 10743.28 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007 from Rs 8213.08 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006.
