Another milestone for ISRO: Former ISRO Chairman

Chennai, Apr 23: Former ISRO Chairman and Rajya Sabha Member Kasturirangan today termed the launch of International Commercial Satellite 'Agile' from ISRO's launching pad at Sriharikotta ''yet another milestone for ISRO''.

Addressing newspersons in the airport here, before leaving for Sriharikotta to witness the launch of Agile, Dr Kasturirangan said so far ISRO was launching its own satellites for research and other purposes. For the first time in the history of ISRO its going to launch here a joint venture commercial satellite.

''This is its new approach and with this ISRO is beginning a new chapter,'' he added.

He hoped that the launch of Agile would be completed successfully.
